About PWHAT

The Pleasure Walking Horse Association of Tennessee (PWHAT) is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the flat-shod Tennessee Walking Horse.  Since our beginning in 1984, opportunities to exhibit the flat-shod Walking Horse have increased dramatically. We are confident that the interest in and appreciation of the flat-shod Tennessee Walking Horse will continue to grow, and we invite you to join us in promoting the world’s greatest pleasure horse.

The Board of Directors governs the PWHAT organization according to written guidelines set forth by the bylaws. The board meets at least seven times per year. Committees carry out the tasks mandated by the board over the course of the year.

The general membership is convened every January in an annual meeting for the purpose of reviewing the yearly activities, electing officers, affording a time for fellowship, and recognizing the winners of the high point awards. The annual meeting is held in conjunction with the yearly awards banquet.
