PWHAT Banquet Recap

The 33rd Annual PWHAT Awards Banquet and Annual Meeting was held on January 19th at the Bell Buckle Banquet Hall.  The event was well attended despite the threatening weather, and everyone enjoyed socializing and celebrating the many successes of 2018.

The new Board of Directors were sworn in and the new officers for 2019 were installed. Andrea Rego from MTSU gave us an overview of the Equine Assisted Therapy program for Veterans.  Trail ride awards were presented and high point award winners were recognized with some very nice trophies. Special recognition was given to the youth who participated in PWHAT activities and are happy that we were able to recognize 28 youth for 2018!

Justus Carter was recognized as Trainer of the Year and he was also responsible for sponsoring eight youth participants!  Congratulations Bub!  Maggie Moore was the Amateur of the Year — congratulations Maggie!  The Horse of the Year winners were a tie between Outlaw Country owned by Rex & Amy Nance and Sofia Vergara owned by Tony & Tina Bowling.  Click here for a complete list of high point award winners.

Thanks to everyone who attended and congratulations to everyone who won awards!
